South Shore Double Homicide Suspect Facing Charges For Couple's Deaths: DA

A man has been indicted on charges that he brutally murdered an older couple at their South Shore home at the end of last year, authorities said.

Christopher Keeley, age 28, is being held without bail after he was indicted on two counts of murder in the deaths of Carl and Vicki Mattson on Tuesday, March 28, the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office reports. 

The married couple, both 70, was found bludgeoned and stabbed to death at their home on 75 Gotham Hill Drive in Marshfield on November 29, 2020, as previously reported by Daily Voice. In addition, the couple's dog was also found dead inside the home. 

Authorities later issued a "Be On The Lookout (BOLO)" for Keeley, who was said to be acquainted with the Mattsons. Keeley was later arrested in Florida and brought back to Massachusetts for trial, as also previously reported by Daily Voice.

Keeley was also indicted on one count each of misuse of a credit card, larceny of a motor vehicle, animal cruelty, He will be arraigned in Plymouth Superior Court at a different date.
